about prefr & role: prefr is a line of business under CRED, operating as a lending service provider (lsp) with an aum of ₹3,000+ cr. we build personal loan portfolios through our robust digital lending platform that spans the entire lending lifecycle—including customer onboarding, underwriting, collections, and servicing. in addition to the fldg-based lending model, prefr also operates a distribution model (lead-based business model), where it acts as a dla /sourcing platform for large financial Institutions, enabling them to acquire and originate personal loan customers through a digital distribution ecosystem. the role is to manage the existing set of lenders and scale them as per the aop planned numbers.

Responsibilities

  • capital supply strategy & execution
  • manage the existing set of lenders (banks, nbfc's, fintech nbfc's) aligned to CRED & prefr lending thesis under risk and non-risk based programs owning end to end partner management.
  • work closely with product, tech, legal, compliance and finance teams to ensure partnership structures are business, regulation and p&l accretive.
  • lender management
  • follow the scalable frameworks for the existing sets of lenders, compliance management and policy alignment, as needed.
  • ensuring enough capital supply from these lenders to meet the aop numbers, also proactively identify stress points and discuss the corrective actions, as needed.
  • operational excellence & analytics
  • able to understand the customer journey, importance of the data captured needed during the journey, negotiate on the rite ask, understand & monitor the funnels to identify the opportunities & gaps.
  • ensuring weekly / bi-monthly cadence with the lending partners.
  • stakeholder management
  • engage with did level management at partner institutions and internal cross-functional teams (product, risk, legal, finance).

Requirements

  • 1 – 2.5 years of experience in lender partnership / lender management, preferably within a lending fintech, nbfc or bank.
  • good understanding of lending models, including nbfc/bank regulations, lsp/dla models, risk-sharing constructs, and the overall personal loan lifecycle.
  • basic analytical and funnel management skills — ability to monitor key funnel metrics, identify drop-offs/issues, diagnose root causes, and drive corrective actions with relevant teams.
  • good relationship management skills with the ability to effectively manage and build relationships with mid-level internal and external stakeholders, including lender partners and cross-functional teams.
  • ability to draft brds (business requirement documents) for change requests received from lender partners and translate business requirements into clear, actionable requirements for product/tech teams.
  • strong ownership and execution orientation, with the ability to manage multiple partner requirements, follow up on dependencies, and drive initiatives.
